In My Kitchen is…
I found this cookbook in an opshop for 25c. I had been searching for it for a while after being told by vegetarian friends that this was the best vego cook book out there. It’s got meat meals with swaps you can make and alternatives you can use.
I love my slow cooker and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with Sarah Wilson’s Simplicious so when I saw this at Kmart I jumped to buying it. There are so many recipes that have their corners folded!
I came across this book at Kmart too and couldn’t pass it up for $9. I love some fermentation and thought that having a handy go to guide would be brilliant.
The library is my best friend at the moment, and so I’ve been borrowing cookbooks so I can get inspired by different recipes. I recently borrowed this cookbook and quickly fell in love. There were so many recipes that I simply had to own it.
I’ve been making Kombucha for some time now and tried my hat at milk kefir, but I just didn’t love it. When someone reached out to me recently to ask if I’d be interested in trading a SCOBY for some water kefir grains, I jumped at the opportunity. I’m not in love with it yet but I do enjoy the process so I’m hoping to get used to the taste.
I love a good goodie bag but when I went along to see Embrace the goodie bag was even sweater because it was so unexpected. A packet of these seeds were in the goodie bag and I was so excited to get home and get sprouting. They’re looking so good so far and I can’t wait to start chopping them onto our meals.
I’ve been a big obsessed with making macaron recently. We’ve had a lot of egg whites sitting in the fridge because I’ve been making to much ice cream. I’ve made 3 batches so far, chocolate with chocolate, spiced with caramel spiced butter cream and peppermint chocolate. The chocolate with chocolate were by far the prettiest so far, but the spiced was my favourite flavour. I still am yet you perfect the recipe, and I’ll definitely let you know when I have.
